2015.09.18

Information

It has been announced that the application for a patent for a “melanin production enhancer” created as a result of joint research between NAKANO Seiyaku Co.,Ltd. (President Kotaro Nakano) and Kansai University, etc. has been successful and a patent has been granted at this time as follows.
The patent for the “melanin production enhancer” targets the bioactivity of “flavonoids”, contained extensively within plants, and is based on the discovery that flavonoids possessing a specific structure can be effective at promoting production of melanin in melanocytes (pigment cells).
Concern over gray hair is ranked among the top worries about hair held by women today. It is thought that one of the causes of gray hair is a cease in production of melanin pigment following a decline in the activity of melanocytes located at the hair roots. For this reason we have high expectations for the present discovery in preventing and ameliorating gray hair which has been a problem until now. We will continue our efforts in research and development on the theme of gray hair prevention and amelioration in future as we continue the pursuit of beauty.
